Pay for this position is $17 an hour

Dunbar Security Site Supervisor is responsible for conducting random post inspections and ensuring guards are in proper uniform, all posts are manned and guarded in accordance with existing post orders to assure security of life and property. Also responsible for training security guards at various sites.
The essential functions of this position are:

1. Ensure all guards are in proper uniform, all posts are manned and being guarded in accordance with existing post orders and Dunbar rules, regulations and policies.

2. Ensure compliant staffing, guard training, and managing uniform inventory and controls.

3. Provide prompt and courteous customer service to all internal and external customers. Interact with clients and management to address and resolve concerns.

4. Prepare accurate and thorough reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, conflict encounters or unusual occurrences

5. Receive call offs and review work schedules to identify a replacement for that assignment while attempting to keep overtime at a minimum. In the event of an open post, the field supervisor is to fill that post until relieved.

6. Comply with all state license and certification requirements as well as company standards related to the operation of vehicles, performing guard functions, and in the carry and use of firearms.

7. Once aware of any unusual occurrences or violations of Dunbar rules, regulations, or policies, the Field Supervisor is required to document the incident and initiate appropriate action, including disciplinary action, if necessary.

8. Pick-up and delivery of any documents or other materials which must be delivered to or retrieved from a Dunbar site.

9. Perform administrative duties required for maintaining proper documentation of field and command staff.

10. Maintain cleanliness and neatness of Commander’s office.

11. Performs all other job related functions as assigned.

12. Other duties as required.

The minimum Knowledge, Education, Experience, Skills, and/or Abilities required to perform this job are, including any physical requirements:

1. Must have 12 months of security operations supervisory experience.

2. Must possess a valid unrestricted state driver’s license within the jurisdiction in which the company operates and maintain current license with a good driving record.

3. Must have and maintain a VA-DCJS Certification

5. Must have knowledge and application of general safety and legal standard associated with protection of people and facilities, and skill with use of firearms.

6. Must have strong communication skills and be able to communicate with customers and communicate with base location via phone and/or two-way radio.

7. Must be proficient in MicroSoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

8. Be self-motivated and work without direct supervision.

9. Ability to acquire first aid and CPR certification from a certified organization providing such training.

10. Be available to work various shifts as required and assigned.

11. Must have strong social skills.

12. Experience with working in an essential service environment is a plus.
